Services.
Prenatal Care.
Your visits will consist of an initial visit in your own home between 10-12 weeks, followed by visits with your midwife in their office every 4-5 weeks until the third trimester, every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, and then weekly until the birth of your baby.
What to expect of your prenatal care:
Un-rushed visits allowing plenty of time to get to know you, your desires, and your values..
Each visit includes an assessment of physical and emotional wellbeing
Risk assessments including; blood pressure monitoring, hands-on-belly checks, and listening to baby’s heart tones at every visit.
Shared-decision making, informed consent is the cornerstone of your care.
All standard laboratory screenings, physical exams, and education.
To be heard and respected every step of the way.
Newborn Care.
Routinely, we do 2 visits for baby in your own home, the first at 1 day old and another within the first week postpartum. We recommend that your newborn is seen by your provider of choice within the 1st week of life.
Gentle, thorough, “head-to-toe” newborn exam performed by your midwife 1 hour after birth
Vitamin K and Erythromycin eye ointment available upon client request
Newborn Metabolic Screen, Congenital Heart Defect Screening, and Newborn Hearing Screen performed in your home during the first newborn visit.
Your Midwife will file for Birth Certificate and Social Security cards.
